our beautiful life

Family     House     Life     Style
Well, I haven't blogged in a while...I feel like I always start my new postings saying that, which means these are very far and few between ;). Anyways, I wanted to post a few photos of our home. We have done so much since moving in in 2013.. I never took before and after shots (I am horrible at that). But, I am going to post some "up to date ones" since my last posting about our house. In the future we plan to tear down the wall in our front room that attaches to the kitchen and open up the whole main level. also completely gut and redo our kitchen and also put in hardwood flooring throughout the main level. But until then, here is our home now.

These photos are not the best of quality because I took them on my phone. I didn't feel like taking the time to take out the nice camera. talk about lazy ;)

Behind our front door is the first room. This is where we enjoy movie nights in the fall and winter months with a nice warm fire going, & the windows cracked open, so nice! This is also gracie, our dogs favorite spot to sleep the day away.

This "hutch" is where we store all of the kids games, and in the drawers are batteries, dog stuff, and in the other drawer are all the kiddos shoes.

 The kitchen

The Sunroom
Even though its really not technically a sunroom. Its always sunny so that name just stuck ;)
This is where we spend most of our time playing and making a complete mess of this room.
You can see the pool out this back window, although its sunny now so you can't see it to well in the photo.

& here is how it looks on a normal day (everyday)

 ;)

Patio, Backyard & Pool
Out the "sunrom" door leads to our patio, pool and backyard.
Here is my "mint, cilantro, chives, and peppers."

Summer and I spend every nice afternoon in the pool while London takes her afternoon nap which I am loving every minute of ;)
(Summer pulls me around in this chair, it is a boat & she is my dolphin, hehe)

Back into the house and Down to the basement/ Playroom

All the way up stairs now to the bedrooms
Londons bedroom.
L changed rooms from what she originally had when Summer got a queen sized bed, which is why you see a difference in where the changing table is ;)
I love that I can spy on them when Summer goes in Londons crib with her in the morning. I know everything ;)

Adam & my bedroom
This house is older so the bedrooms are small, our king sized bed almost takes up the whole room. But thats ok, a king sized bed is necessary. So ill take the small quarters ;)

Summers bedroom.

Upstairs bathroom

We love to go for walks nightly if possible and mommy normally goes for a morning run everyday. we have a nice trail near our house and lots of parks.

London was a tad under the weather this week (1 year molars) & this meant I got lots of snuggles. These snuggles only lasted 1 day :( so I made sure to take just a couple photos to document this ;).

even Summer got to snuggle London, & London even fell asleep in her arms. melt my heart.

Hi Friends. Well it happened. My baby turned one. Everyone says it, "it goes by so fast" but unless you have kids, you have no clue what that truly means. Its true, seems like I blinked my eyes & Summer turned 4 and London turned 1. It seems like just yesterday London was born. how in the world does life go by so fast & how do I hit the "pause" button?

We had a fun weekend celebrating London's birth. She had her first taste of cake, which of course she loved. had a party with our family and enjoyed every minute of it.

Love bug is not quite walking on her own yet, but she is pretty good at walking beside you if you let her hold onto your finger. Her and her sister are so different from one another at this age and its fun to see. Summer at age 1 would sit in front of the TV and watch a whole episode of "Curious George" she LOVED that show and she was walking all over the place like a pro. London doesn't care about the TV one bit. So she is a little bit harder to keep "busy" while mommy tires to get ready ;) & obviously isn't walking yet either.

Can't believe our little love bug is almost ONE.. for me this went by so much faster than it did for my first, Summer.  I just realized that her birthday is like 3 weeks away just a few days ago…. I need to start planning this birthday party asap.

Last year at this time I was so exhausted and so done with being pregnant. I felt like I was going to be pregnant forever, and I was only about 35 weeks along. I can't imagine going to 42 weeks or something ridiculously crazy like that. When you can no longer reach your feet, everything you put on makes you look like a whale, you have somebody kicking you in the tummy AT ALL TIMES & you have thee worst back pain that doesn't go away no matter what you do,
you kinda can't wait to just give birth.

Thankfully London came at 38weeks 4 days. I am not even going to reminisce about the birth story. I'll spare you. It was quick, painful and let me just say this.. if you are considering giving birth with no pain meds, stop being an idiot ;). I WANTED the pain meds, but little miss impatient had to come within that hour of getting checked into my hospital room….eesh

Look at this cute face though. yea, yea, she was totally worth the pain ;)

LONDON: You are a sweet, kind, & a strong willed little girl. You know what you want and you are determined to get it, but you are always willing to lean in for a kiss to get what you have your eyes on. You are crazy strong for just an 11 month old little girl, seriously. You have 10 teeth & boy does it hurt when you bite! You adore your sister Summer. You think she is pretty funny.
You're an amazing sleeper, slept through the night around 6 weeks and still do. Put yourself to sleep on your own, don't need to rock-a-bye- and you self sooth yourself with your thumb (thank you Jesus!). You have no real desire to walk yet, I wish you would though so I don't have to constantly wash your hands from crawling on the floor ;).
You are always smiling and I am pretty sure you are one of the happiest babies around and so easy going. You look just like your daddy but you have your mommies determination and one track mind. We love you so much. Cant even imagine life without you, & I know everyone says that, but it's true. You complete this family. & don't worry, I have no plans of making you a middle child, your father on the other hand, well, that's a whole other story ;)

BTW- Happy New Year, 2015 :)
