our beautiful life

Family     House     Life     Style
Just realized I have not even blogged about my Disney trip with the family, oops. We were there for a total of 9 days and boy did it go by fast! I was not at all ready to leave, but back to reality we go!

This trip was so much fun, & so exciting to experience with my sweet 2 year old (almost 3).  I am so thankful for my parents who made this trip possible for everyone to go on, they are such a blessing to us! The plane ride was great, I was a little nerves and packed way to much to keep her occupied! Summer did perfect, no really, she was perfect. She didn't even get to half of the things I had packed away for her. She was so giddy and excited to go on the air plane, she loved looking out the window and really took the whole thing in.  After we had landed Summer was then so excited to be in a whole new state, Disney State! She kept saying "is mickey here? mickey here mama?" Then we got to get on the Disney bus which took us to our Disney Resort & Summer was all excited and giddy for the bus ride, so fun. Its fun to watch her get excited about these "little things" ...

Day 1 we spent at Magic Kingdom, Summer got to meet some princesses right away when we got there which was probably the best thing in the world to see. She was so cute, shy, giddy, excited and star struck all at the same time, it was the best thing to watch her face. We also enjoyed rides, more characters, junk food overload and just a fun disney experience with a 2 year old, a whole new thing for me. Its so fun cause I saw disney through a whole new light (reminded me of going when I was 3). She had a blast playing with her cousin Rylen too, those 2 are buddies! I loved being here with my whole family, what a great and amazing fun time we all had together!

We also got lots of pool time , beach time, hollywood studios, epcot, shows and one of Summers favorite things was when Adam and I took her to a disney princess lunch! It was all fun to Summer she was the happiest little girl ever the whole time we were there.
Adam and I took Summer, just the three of us, to a disney princess lunch where all the princesses come to your table and talk with you and take photos with you and all that fun stuff. Summer was so cute, Best day of her life I think, she still talks about  it all the time. She even got to go around the restaurant with Cinderella for a princess procession...biggest smile on her face the entire time haha!

I feel like I could write about the trip in a 10 page blog but I do not have the time nor the desire to sit here and do that. But this was such a fun trip, so many exciting things & going to disney with Summer and seeing it through her eyes was just about the best thing to experience as her mommy. We had the best time as a family and I am so thankful and glad we all got to do this together! yippy! So with all this said I will go ahead and post some more photos! :)

Well I was debating whether or not to delete my last post because as some of you may know I sadly had a miscarriage. I ultimately decided to just keep the post up because even though it is a sad thing to look back on, it was something that happened to us and we cant just "delete" that from our life. Also as the time we were obviously extremely excited & those pictures of Summer are just to cute to take down.  As hard and painful as it was to lose a baby at a few weeks along, I feel like it ultimately made my husband and I even stronger & closer as a couple, something that we got through together. This happening really makes me THAT MUCH MORE thankful for the sweet little girl we do have right now to love on. This is my blog, my life, somewhere where I can be completely truthful, open and honest. A place that I am me and I don't need to please anyone. I can speak my mind. This is the place I can write about my journeys, the good times and the bad -  the sad and the happy! Someday I will look back & enjoy reading about my life, & someday Summer will probably even read this herself.

I never thought it would be me, the one to have a miscarriage, but then again, who does?  Throughout this I have come to realize that this is something that sadly happens quite often. Something that a lot of couples go through. It's hard, & you cant quite figure out "WHY". But through it all I am so thankful for my relationship with Jesus. Without him, I wouldn't have the peace i do. I am so thankful that God has given me the peace I have asked him for and the hope and excitement of getting pregnant again and not to have fear about the "next" pregnancy. Even when we don't have the answers and I don't know why, we really don't need to know why, God knows. God knows it all when we can't even seem to kinda understand. I can't keep wondering WHY, I can't keep wondering HOW I just let go, and let God. Giving it all to him I have come to such a peace and a joy and a happiness about trying again.

This past weekend was obviously a bitter-sweet one for me. If I never quite knew the true meaning of "bitter-sweet" I now know. It was such a fun mothers day though. Summer is so sweet and she was so, so excited to give me my mothers day card and my "I love mom" coffee mug!
(I have been wanting a "mom" coffee mug for almost 3 years now, its about time adam ;)...

The husby took me "mothers day shopping" cause he knew I had had my eyes on a pair of boots for, ohhh, some time now. I was pretty darn giddy to hear that I was going to get those boots, and we were off to the mall to try em on and get them, yippy!

I got the Frye Veronica Short boot!
I already have one pair of frye boots and I absolutely love them, they are comfy and they hold up really well, so I thought It was maybe time to get another in a totally different style :)..I am in love with them.

The rest of the week was spent doing family stuff. We also went to the Farmers Market in Minneapolis (I have never been to a farmers market and I was pretty excited!) Adam bought me these BEAUTIFUL tulips and I also got Peonies! my 2 favorite flowers, they are just beautiful!! Thanks Hubby!
You are just to good to me, I love you!

So thankful for my wonderful Mom who has always, always been there for me. Love you so much Mom!

Sad, I guess we didn't take any family photos of the 3 of us..Oh well next year ;)

So I figured since I am going on a trip here in the next couple of days I would show you all my way to "pack"...I call it Zip & Ship!

This is an easy way to get all the outfits together while still at your home before all the craziness begins. It's a nice way to pack (at least in my opinion) so that when you get to your destination your "outfits" are already prepared and your toddler can have fun picking a bag per day. This way Summer will feel like she is picking out her outfit all by herself, when in reality I already got them ready so she doesn't look like a cute little clown choosing something like, pink shirt, red pants, green shoes, you get it.

ON A SIDE NOTE:
Summer has a very bruised nose in this video, don't be alarmed! Sadly her nose actually looks good in comparison to how it looked a couple days ago. Cant believe I didn't even blog about how this little bruised nose came about. In short, we were at lifetime gym eating in the cafe, Summer was sitting on her feet on the couch and started falling off. She was not able to catch herself and it happened so fast Adam and I were not able to catch her either. She landed flat on the bridge of her nose, ALL. HER. WIGHT on a tile coffee table (OUCH!!) Poor baby, nose started bleeding really bad all over and she was crying /  screaming obviously. We rushed her to Urgent care where they basically looked at her for 2 seconds, said it looked broke, and to bring her straight to Children's Hospital in St. Paul. At Children's Hospital the nurse who was checking us in said she thought Summer would need stitches. We prayed over Summer lots and lots and finally when the doctor came in we were happy to find out that her nose was not broke and she wouldn't need stitches! Anyways, scary, scary night / week. Its been emotional but we are so thankful Summer is getting back to her normal self!
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE PRAYERS! It is a complete miracle nothing more happened, if you could of heard the sound it made when her nose his this table and all the blood that was eveywhere, you would agree.

Ok now for the movie!

Summer and I are becoming closer and closer everyday I feel. I love how much of a "big girl" she is but still my "baby" at the same time.

It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital holding her yet at the same time that seems like forever ago.

My favorite stage with "kids" is newborn, 0-6 weeks (even though I don't get any sleep)
and now, 2 & a half.

Don't get me wrong, every stage is fun, seriously! But if I am completely honest. those would be my top choice (so far!). I love how when they are those precious little newborns they just need their "mommy" so much (& dads!). (but dads/men always seem to like when the babies can actually "interact" with them, if you will) but as a mom I love this "newborn stage" as it only lasts what seems like hours. I feel like as moms we have such an early on love for them while they are in our tummies. We know when they are awake & when they are asleep. We know what foods gets them kicking & what position they are in while in our belly. They already know how to get their way in what they want us to eat, when they want us to eat and how much they want us to eat. They know how to keep us awake at night when all we want to do is sleep. Its like we know this baby who is not even here yet physically on earth. Its the best feeling and when they are actually here its just like "FINALLY! finally I can hold you in my arms and stop getting jabs in my ribs every day & night ;)"
this is me at 36 weeks, I went to 38 weeks so I got even bigger! yikes

 37 weeks!

38 weeks! shew, finally, I was about to pop.

Now my little Summer is TWO, almost three. Its crazy how much life changes when you have kids and how much you change. Its like nothing matters but them. Your only truly happy when you know your kid is truly happy.
Age 2 and a half is the BEST ! Terrible twos? what are you talking about?
(Just kidding, Trust me, I have had my moments!)
It is just such a fun age where we can finally after two years actually have a conversation with them. Where they think you are just the best thing to ever happen and the coolest person around, they want to be just like YOU.
Summer knows what she wants and doesn't want.
She is eager to make new friends and tell me all about it!
She is so curious and innocent and find the best in everyone and everything.
Can't kids stay like this forever?
I love just watching her when she learns new things, figures something out, makes new friends, plays with the friends she already has.
Nothing better.

I love being a mom, I know its what I was meant to do, Be a wife and a mommy, I knew that since I was 12. I always wanted to #1 get married & #2 have kids.
When the kids came I knew I would want to stay home with them everyday and be a stay-at-home mom.
I don't think I could have it any other way.

I love my life

Here are a few pictures of Summer and I today. We decided to go out and enjoy this lovely weather, play with chalk and run around.
I grabbed my camera while we were just sitting there coloring with chalk and it became the perfect little photo-shoot!

When Adam got home he snapped a few for us!
