our beautiful life

I love this nice cool crisp weather. It is lovely. Perfect for that nice cup of hot coffee or a caribou run :) (I love the white chocolate pumpkin spice mocha) Last night Adam and I went to pick out some pumpkins, such a nice night, a little chilly, but nice. Summer had fun picking them out...she would put her little finger on her face and walk through saying "Humm.....hummm....hummmmm" so funny! I think her favorite part was getting some warm popcorn from inside at the end (they do have really good popcorn.) Well we still have yet to carve them or paint them...but that will come next week. I went and got some black and white paint so Summer and I could just go crazy and paint the pumpkins since she is still to little to really enjoy carving them.

Oh my goodness.. totally need to tell you guys about this! So, tonight as I was making my bed (yes, I didn't make my bed this morning but made it tonight cause I am a weirdo like that) anyways, as I was making it Summer was just watching me (in her birthday suit) and kinda said "Peee" the best she could...I didn't think to much of it I just looked at her and smiled and she was already out the door... ...I then heard her in the bathroom pulling out her little potty from the closet and I went over and peeked my head in to see her sitting on her potty.. (Now just know that she ALWAYS sits on her potty with no luck...) So I just said, "ok now you just sit there for a bit like a big girl & try to go potty :)....) and I kept picking up my room and letting her have her time alone...and I peeked my head back in to find that she had gone POTTY!! yes people POTTY!! IT WAS A BIG NIGHT! I started clapping for her and saying how much of a big girl she was and she looked at me like I was crazy... :-/

Well I am one happy mama!

She then walked out of the bathroom like "no big deal" and got a diaper laid it on the floor and tried to put her diaper on...silly kid...I then explained to her that if she keeps going in the potty that we can go pick her out some BLUE big girl undies with hop hops on them..( hop hop's are frogs to Summer..she likes to call them hop hop's!) ! She actually seemed to get excited about that :)

Had a photo-shoot this weekend, but other then that it was pretty laid back :). We took summer to highland park, can't believe I never knew about this place! So cool!! Summer had so much fun playing. Also, I haven't done a project in a while so I started a project making a bench, Yes, from SCRATCH! (OK, OK, the husband was a big help with this one so I guess I can't take all the credit!)
Like always, I never remember to take pictures of the projects that I do...But when the bench is totally finished I'll put a picture up. Here are just a few pictures from this weekend. Summer and I looking through her baby book (she loves to look at pictures of herself) and then a cute picture I took real quick before Summer got in the tub! So cute :)

Good Night!

Well as I was browsing pinterest last night (love that place) I came across a few fun crafts I want to do with Summer. She is only 2 so it is definitely hard to do most crafts but I thought I would give this a shot anyways! It is such a cute craft to do for halloween time coming up and Summer just loved putting the glue on all of the jars! She also liked loved putting the silly eyes on! After we were done we took them into a dark room (the bathroom) and put our little candle lights inside and watched them glow, Summer thought that it was pretty cool and I think she wants them in her room tonight when she goes to bed!

I just realized that I have not yet put up pictures from Summers birthday weekend! Summer turned TWO on August 24th. The night before her birthday morning Adam and I were busy decorating the downstairs with balloons and streamers and wrapping all her gifts so she would have this to walk down to in the morning. She got VERY excited when she came down stairs for her birthday morning!! She loved all the balloons! For her birthday she got the "bitty baby" from american girl, she has been in love with this doll and all the doll things at the american girl store so it was the perfect gift! We also got her the bitty baby stroller, some clothes for the doll and for her so they could match (so cute!!) . Her birthday was a lot of fun, we took her to the MOA to go on rides and get ice cream! We also visited the "build a bear" store and she picked out the "FUDGE puppy" that was actually his name! So funny :). Later we met up with Summers best friend Sawyer at the children's museum! Those two had a BLAST together!! They even shared a kiss :) haha! We ended her birthday night going over to nana and papa's for some cupcakes! Such a fun day, we can't believe she is 2 already, time really does go by fast.... Saturday Grandma Joan drove in from Perham to spend the day with Summer. We all went to the zoo and had a great day! On Sunday was her big birthday party! She had so much fun with all of her friends. Everything was perfect such a fun weekend! We love you Summer!!

Here she is "peeking" at her american girl baby doll :)

Her and her doll in their matching outfits!

 getting our lip gloss on!

Ready for some RIDES!
